February Newsletter

Feb 9, 2026 | News

REMINDER: THE INDOOR RANGE WILL BE CLOSED ON FEBRUARY 14TH 2026 FOR THE AO 10 RING TOURNAMENT,  FROM 7AM TO 6PM.

Please be advised that the Clubhouse Security System has been upgraded on February 4, 2026. As part of this transition, FOBs no longer provide access to the building.

Members who have renewed their memberships and are currently in possession of a functioning FOB have been issued a permanent ID card, which will serve as the new method of entry to the clubhouse.

Kindly note the following:

  • ID cards issued to family members are for identification purposes only and will not permit access to the building.
  • Activated ID cards are available for a one-time fee of $25.

Please be reminded that membership renewals for all membership levels are now past due and subject to a $25 late payment fee.  If you have not yet completed your renewal, we kindly ask that you submit the renewal form and signed waiver at your earliest convenience. These documents can be emailed to membership@yorkcountybowmen.com, along with your e-transfer payment of membership fees.

Please note that we operate with a membership cap; therefore, it is important to renew promptly to secure your spot for the upcoming season.

The Board has made the decision to forgo offering guest passes for this year due to the associated costs.  This does not mean that you cannot bring a guest.  Members are still welcome to bring a guest.  Guests must still sign a waiver and pay the usual $20.00 guest fee as in the past.

We understand that this may be disappointing to some members, and please know that this decision was not made lightly. However, it is important that we focus on recovering the costs related to guest usage of the club’s facilities in order to continue providing the best possible experience for our members.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and thank you for your continued support.

Thank you
Jennifer Sakamoto
Interim Membership Director

YCB 2026 Annual General Meeting – Sunday, April 12, 2026
This year’s AGM will be held Sunday, April 12th commencing at 10:00 a.m.
The annual meeting provides members with the opportunity to be updated
on the affairs of the club over the past year and priorities for the current
year. Election of Board members and voting on issues requiring
membership approval are also completed at the AGM.
Your active participation in the AGM is critical to ensure the club operates in
the best interest of its members. Please make an effort to attend!
Members are encouraged to attend the AGM in person. As in past years, a
Zoom link will be provided for those unable to attend in person.

The past practice of providing 2 hours of “work hour” credit for in person
attendance will be discontinued given the change to our work hour policy
introduced in 2025.

This is your club! YCB benefits from and requires the engagement of its
members to function. A number of Board positions will be open. Elections
