AGM
After a one week delay due to Ontario Spring weather, the AGM took place April 6. Next years AGM will be scheduled for a little later in April, hopefully no weather delay.

Resolution 1. Accept all proposed By-laws amendments, with the exception of, Article #9 dealing with Remuneration of Officers & Directors. In favour 84 Opposed 2
Resolution 2. Accept the By-law amendment to Article #9 increasing Officer & Director remuneration from 50% of membership dues to 100%. In favour 78 Opposed 10
Resolution 3. Accept the 2024 Financial Statement for the period ending December31, 2024, prepared January 8, 2025. In favour 85 Opposed 1
Resolution 4. Approval to engage Turack Ragueseo Lesli Gillat (Turack) LLC Chartered Accountants to complete the 2025 Financial Review by way of Compilation Engagement. In Favour 75 Opposed 9
Resolution 5. Approval to accept the Compilation Engagement report for the 2024 Financial Year prepared by Turack Ragueseo Lesli Gillat (Turack) LLC Chartered Accountants. In Favour 74 Opposed 9.
Resolution 6. Approve the implementation of a yearly Membership Cap of 500 individual members. In Favour 56 Opposed 3.
The position of Secretary/Communications was voted on by members. Results: Scotty Allen 54 votes, Bowie Fan 31 votes.
Archery Development
The Director, Archery development has responsibility for overseeing the Archery Development programs at YCB. These include the Youth Development Program, Archery School and Private Lessons. Ming Szeto has stepped up to take this position.
3D Shoot
Spring is in The Air – Time to Get Out into the Woods.
– 3D League will run from May1 2025 to August 31, 2025.
– Participants will be required to shoot one round of 20 targets every two weeks for a total of 8 rounds.
– Each round must be shot within the 2-week cycle, using IBO scoring.
– Participant must me accompanied by another YCB member who will record all scores and sign the card. (Scorekeeper does not need to be participating in the league)
– Signed cards can be dropped off in the clubhouse.
– Scores will be posted at the end of each two-week period.
– At the end of the season, a shoot off day will be organized with BBQ.
– Sign up sheet will be posted in the clubhouse shortly.
Annual Spring Field Shoot
May 4, 2025. IFAA Round. $20.00 entry, Beef Stew lunch included.
Registration is day of shoot starting 8 AM, scoring starts 9:30.
Winter Trail Safety
Ice and snow is gone but it is still imperative that members adhere to the Safety protocols outlined in the club’s Rules & Regulations. Remain on designated trails and do not take shortcuts through the woods between targets. This practice is both dangerous and could lead to serious injury as well as member disciplinary action.

We have a new, more breathable fabric available for club shooting jerseys. Ask any club officer if you would like to see a sample. Any questions to merchandise@yorkcountybowmen.com.
